Scalloped Potatoes Recipe by: Chef Roberts

This Friday, we are making Pancakes at 12:00PM EST. At 6:30PM EST, we are making Scalloped Potatoes. If you're interested in cooking along (not mandatory) or watching, here are the ingredients and Zoom links:

Pancakes:

  • 1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour 


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1 tsp baking soda


  • 1/8 tsp salt


  • 1 large egg, beaten 


  • 1/4 cups buttermilk


  • 2 tbsp butter, melted


  • 3 tbsp sugar


Scalloped Potatoes:

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil


  • 2 onions medium, small diced


  • 8 oz bacon cooked and crumbled


  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter


  • 4 tbsp all purpose flour


  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk or lactose free whole


  • 1/2 cup chicken stock


  • 3 lbs potatoes thinly sliced russet (Sliced before zoom class starts and placed in cold water)


  • 8 oz cheese I used a combination of sharp cheddar, any cheese will work


  • salt and pepper to taste


  • 8 cups of 


  • Boiling water pot half way filled (start boiling before zoom class starts)
